The Nick Simons Institute organized a three-day conference to honor and address the issues faced by the rural healthcare workers in collaboration with the Department of Health Services (DoHS) and National Health Training Center (NHTC). The conference was take place from 2 to 4 March 2016 at Hotel Raddison, Kathmandu.
The objectives of the conference are:
1. To provide encouragement and uplift to the healthcare workers.
2. To provide continuing medical education (CME).
3. To provide a forum for discussion within the government system.
4. To explore wider future linkages between rural healthcare workers, the government and NSI.
Hon. Mr. Mohammad Mustak Alam, State Minister of Health inaugurated the conference. The total of 97 healthcare workers from 59 districts were participated in the conference.
