9 Rural Healthcare Workers Conference

The Nick Simons Institute in collaboration with the Department of Health Services (DoHS) and National Health Training Center (NHTC) organized a three-day "9 Rural Healthcare Workers Conference". The conference was held from 20 to 22 March 2018 in Kathmandu.

The objectives of the conference are:
1. To provide encouragement and uplift to the healthcare workers.
2. To provide continuing medical education (CME).
3. To provide a forum for discussion within the government system.
4. To explore wider future linkages between rural healthcare workers, the government and NSI.

A total of 117 healthcare workers from 54 districts were presented in the conference. The conference was inaugurated by Health Secretary Dr. Puspa Chaudhary. Also, Dr. Jim and Marilyn Simons and Ms Patricia Weisenfeld was also presented during the inauguration.
