BIO-MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ENGINNERING

A large number of medical equipment in Nepal's government system is not fully functioning and awaits maintenance. There is a lack of proper government biomedical system exists.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

There are two types of courses:
  • Diploma in Bio-medical Equipment Engineering (DBEE) course is the academic course affiliated by Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and is led by National Health Training Center (NHTC) at BMET Center, Teku

  • Short Term Trainings:

      • User maintenance of laboratory equipment
      • User maintenance of X-Ray equipment

      • User maintenance of cold chain equipment

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The graduates will be able to perform the prevention and maintenance of the medical equipment of the hospitals.

COURSE DURATION

  • Diploma in Bio-medical Equipment Engineering (DBEE) - 18 months'

  • User maintenance of laboratory equipment - 18 days
  • User maintenance of X-Ray equipment - 10 days

  • User maintenance of cold chain equipment - 5 days

The course has been conducted at BMET, Teku.
